Integrating Interdisciplinary Research for Innovation and Sustainable Development
An online Faculty Development Programme (FDP) and workshop titled "Integrating Interdisciplinary Research for Innovation and Sustainable Development" was succcessfully organised from August 19, 2024, to August 23, 2024, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm. This comprehensive programme was organized by the Commerce and Management Association of India (CMAoI) in collaboration with Karunya School of Management (NAAC A++ Accredited), Coimbatore. It featured prominent speakers from various esteemed institutions across India.
Participants delved into a range of key topics essential for fostering innovation and sustainable development through interdisciplinary research. The programme explored methods for integrating diverse expertise to drive innovative solutions and provided an understanding of structured approaches for managing and fostering innovation within organizations. Attendees learned strategies to build and nurture a culture that supports continuous innovation, and investigated how to create and leverage networks of partners for mutual innovation benefits.
The workshop covered the principles of crowdsourcing, teaching participants how to tap into the collective intelligence and creativity of external crowds for problem-solving. Insights were shared on incorporating external technological advancements into the innovation process. The importance of managing intellectual property to protect and capitalize on innovations was also addressed, alongside exploring various tools and techniques that facilitate the innovation process.
Attendees learned how to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of innovation initiatives, ensuring that their efforts yielded tangible results. Finally, the programme examined emerging trends and future directions in innovation and sustainable development, helping participants stay ahead of the curve. This programme was designed to provide valuable insights, practical strategies, and excellent networking opportunities for professionals and academics interested in advancing their knowledge and skills in interdisciplinary research for innovation and sustainability.
